If it's your first visit or if you've decided to radically change something in your look - you NEED to have a hair consultation done BEFORE your appointment (it can be done in the same day or before the booked hair appointment).
I have a few rules in my job, which I obey to deliver the best result and experience:
I am deadly honest and I won't agree to perform any hair procedures, if I see that it will damage clients hair.
I won't start working with your hair until I know your hair history. This is the most important information which you need to share with your new stylist and keep him updated about changes if they where done by someone else. A lot of my new customers say:"I have natural hair now, I bleached them before,but it was so damaged, I just coloured it dark and left it,but it was long time ago, it's already grown out". Then during the consultation we discover, that "long time ago" was two-three years ago. If you don't cut your hair below your shoulders(or shorter), you still have that bleach/colour/treatment 110% on your hair tips or in some cases even in the middle length too... So this little nuance cut off nearly all of our options what we can do with clients hair.
There is so many factors, which are crucial and directly are affecting the end result, your hair is as unique as fingerprints. During the consultation you can also ask your personal question about your hair care routine and etc.
What will happen during the hair consultation?
Everything depends on what exactly you would like to do: if it's a hair colour,then we will need to make a patch test which will show us what results we can achieve with your hair and if it's possible to make you look exactly like you desire to look. Also it's important to do an allergy patch test to make sure that procedure will be safe for the customer.
When you don't need to book a consultation?
If you want to book an appointment to cut your hair, you don't need to book a consultation, but I would suggest to save a few favourite foto inspirations of the desired haircut so I make sure we are on the same page.
